Psycho Ref

Well here it is - to end all the confusion and what not...A reference sheet! OMG.

-- And now for a long winded explanation about the character's development no one will read! --

My character, or avatar, has changed a lot over the years. When I first made "Psycho" I was just trying to sculpt Sonic out of clay and ran out of blue...so I got the next best thing -- green.

My Dad was one of the first people to have the internet. Like, right after Al Gore invented it. We had AOL and when we had technical problems we would call the founder of AOL and be like: "Yo, dude. WTF?"

I first found an online sonic community...back before "re-colors" were frowned upon. Re-colors where actually a widely accepted form of representing yourself. The Sonic community was just 2 steps away from the furry fandom today. But, if you wanted to be a blue Tails -- go nuts! Red Sonic with a sword? NO PROBLEM! Purple Knuckles with a sword...You got it! White Tails with jeans...and a sword...Yeah! Have a seat!

Green Sonic with swirly eyes and blue shoes? You bet your ass.

At first Psycho was exactly that. A green Sonic with swirly eyes. The swirly eyes were from bad scans of the UK's Super Sonic. I actually found out later that Super Sonic's eyes are actually repeating circles. So, while I thought I just ripped it off. It turns out I'm more original than I give myself credit for.

He had a LOT of changes. A friend of mine, EG Foxfire, drew Psycho in a straight-jacket with his quills all crazy.

Then my girlfriend at the time drew him kind of the same but gave him huge bangs. For...whatever reason. She got her mom to dump me on my birthday! =D *loads shotgun*

Anyways -- after that happened I was really good friends with J.Axer. Yes --the-- J.Axer. He came over to my house at one point and we drew a really lame comic together about Tails and Toad fighting over who gets to play the PS1 next. Uh - they both die. We had a site together about how much we liked to do it in the ass. - I mean just for fun. Yes. --FUN. HA HAAAAA.

I changed my character to pretty much the same design except he had a blue shirt, blue gloves, and this crazy yellow/red sash. J.Axer spent a couple hours drawing / coloring the design for me. So right after he finished I changed it again! Then I made him draw the new design!! What a nice friend I was!! =D

I changed it to a different demon design (Thanks to the anime "Devil Man"). With blue boots but the demon marks are as they're shown here. Had the line down the center of the head. Before Shadow! Seriously! Nobody believes me when I say that - but it's true. Not that Sega ripped me off or anything. How f***ing hard is it to draw a line down the center of the head? Yeah - not very hard.

And then in high school one day I drew him in a red version of Goku's gi and put up his quills like Vegeta because I was obsessed with DBZ.

Then, right before I killed my Sonic fan site, I totally changed Psy 100% to this black demon thing with a blue trench-coat. It was up for about a day when I decided to change my site into "That's My Sonic!". Where I went back to the hedgedhog version of my character because it just made sense. Sonic site. Sonic character. And I kept it! And, I'm still scaring other web comic authors when I ask them to draw "me".

"Dude that's a green sonic..."
"Yeah?"
"...dude wtf?"
"What?"
"DUDE"
"Shut up guy from Movie-Comics."
"DUDE!!!"
-- He ended up just drawing a picture of me irl because he couldn't handle it. It was too EXTREME for him. EXTREME MAN.

Then I gave him the shoulder / more darker version. Then changed him back because - more people liked the red gi design, and so did I. The shoulder version is still in CD3 though so - YEAH.

-- And now for an explanation of the various things no one will read either!! --

But - unlike Shadow - it actually touched his nose. And YES - there is a nose! It's more of a snout. He doesn't have the original "Sonic nose" but - whatever.

I gave him the gauntlets because Buu had them. And because Psycho is a slave. And because I like to rip off DBZ and Sega and if you combine the ideas into one you can say OMFG © ME! © ME ME ME ME!

Oh right. Yeah - Psycho is slave. Well - okay. He's a demon because - well - my friend was telling me all of her "faults" the other day - to try and be as honest with me as possible. And - my faults are that I'm the seed of evil.

"A say WHA? O.o;;"

I constantly feel like it would be so easy to do the most treacherous - horrific course of action and find myself fighting to do the right thing. I'm constantly a slave to what is right and what is wrong. I was born to an abusive father who I never met. Not Psycho. Me. I was. He signed me away all too quickly to a man he never even met. And - that's all I feel like. Just something people can sign away. So when something goes wrong my first instinct is to rip / shred / main and destroy everything within an inch of it's life so I can pick it up by the roots of it's hair and laugh in it's face before the death blow.

Starting to understand why this character's name is "Psycho", now?

So - he's a slave. I constantly feel like I'm pushing aside my true nature to try and help everyone and most of my days are in deep meditation on what is right and what is the "real" greater good. So when people draw Psycho without the gauntlets - it's an OOC trait because they can never come off.

The wings are there because - well - he's a demon. His wings can actually wrap around him - go into this liquid state and change his clothes to whatever he desires. This is just me ripping off Venom but instead of a symbiotic suit, it's his wings. No - his wings aren't "alive". But, it's the same concept. Just - when the clothes change he would be wingless. Unless of course he actually bought - like - a suit or something and cut the physical HOLES in the back so he could wear a suit with his wings showing. But that's just silly.

He actually has a symbol on his chest. It's uh - I don't know why it's there. It's just a symbol. Because it's cool? I don't know. And mushroom boxers.

His hands are actually like that. It's not black-fingerless gloves. His hands are black with yellow claws coming out of them. CREEPY AMIRITE?

And, one last thing. The name "Psyguy" came from people just calling me Psy. Because they're lazy? And, my real name is "Bryon" and my family used to call me "Bryguy". I needed a .com one day and was like: "Uh...Psyguy? Sure". And it stuck. Forever. But, I respond to Bryon, Psy, Psyguy, William (figure that one out!), Mr. Guy, God, Sex Machine, and "HEY YOU WITH THE LARGE PEN0R".
