I liked the lineart, everything else made it worse and worse.
It's Gadeth's black spirit phoenix that I like to call Miranda for some odd reason. Hovering above... an unspecified source of purpleish glowstuff. Hooray!
btw, 'she' later degenerated to the thing I uploaded here as "Ugly black bird of ugly".

lovely overall. one bit of crit, if i may: when you draw a wing/limb facing forward like her right wing, remember that foreshortening will make the closest parts — primaries, here — look larger. that'll keep it from looking like the wing is too short. :3
aside from that little thing, this is splendid...the faint purplish light near the bottom breaks up the background and really brings out the purple in her plumage!
