Sometimes, all it takes to be inspired to compose new stuff is a new program in which to do it. I've done Buzz, and I've done Mario Paint. Now experience the fury of. . . a big FamiTracker that's about to fall on us. Ch-kk.

Okay, for those of you who don't know, FamiTracker is a program that has the same restrictions as the Nintendo Entertainment System's sound chip. That means you get two square channels, one triangle channel, one noise channel, one DPCM channel, and free HBO for a month (except for the last one). Some people are capable of composing really awesome stuff using NES technology; unfortunately, you'll have to settle for good from me.

This song was actually composed as a MIDI way back in '03. It was inspired by the video game Yoshi's Cookie (hence the title), and envisioned as some sort of title screen theme. Then I decided to make it into a bona-fide NES chiptune in Famitracker, adding some harmony along the way. You will pay close notice to the percussion, particularly its nonexistence. (I just didn't think it needed it. :))

A HUGE shout out to , without whose advice I would still be using sucky NESAmp instead of NotSoFatso, and hence I would have been unable to create a WAV file from the NSF file. Thanks, really awesome composer guy with more watchers than me! :)
