The Pledge of Defiance

I pledge defiance to the flag of the United States of America, and against the tyranny for which it stands, one man, Satan's slave, incognito inferno, with repression and bias for all

OR

I pledge defiance to the flag of the United States of America, and against the tyranny for which it stands, one man, Satan's slave, incognito inferno, with liberty and justice for none.

Description

I SAY NO TO THE WAR IN IRAQ!

Disclaimer: I am not being 'anti'-American. I am merely saying that over the years, America's values have faded. Therefore, until America can get its priorities straight and become, once again, the glorious nation it started to be. I DO NOT HATE AMERICA! I hate our actions and our choices that we make. I feel like Bush is doing what he wants, not what's best for the country.

If you respond to this piece and it is obvious that you did not read the disclaimer above, I will simply tell you to read it again. You are allowed to have your opinion; I respect that. But I am also allowed to have mine, and I also expect you to respect mine. Thank you.

Rattlecat Says:

If anything, hate Bush, not the flag. I'll be glad when he's kicked from the chair. And America's values have faded ever since we entered this Gods-forsaken age. Shame so many people are blind to the fact that they're supporting nothing more than a child with a vendetta for his beloved father.

Nice one though. Could flow a little better, seems to cut up around "incognito inferno", but other than that, good.

GoLdMaGeAcE Says:

It's strange knowing that all of this started up around the 1900s when America first realized that it needed to become imperialistic in order to 'survive' against the nations of Britain, France and Germany. Supposedly they would colonize America if America failed to become imperialistic, which went against the traditional American values. Since then, the original 'American spirit' has faded...

But enough of the history, I prefer the first one

Shyria Says:

I say no as well. I admire the positive values America introduced, but lately, those values have either eroded almost to nothingness or have been abused beyond reason. I've been shamed to the point where I feel like I'd end up getting myself in trouble just by saying I'm American if I end up travelling the world. I'll be glad when I'm old enough to vote because I hope then that I will be able to do my part to try and help our country, that is if the vote isn't wiped out by the faulty voting machine or rigged (unlikely I must admit).
I give thanks to all the good people trying to keep positive values alive in our country and indeed the entire world, but I still wish God would do something about all the rest.
