Tells a bit of Kavota's past story, i guess she could be called a refugee who now lives on earth. This gives you a snap shot of what actually lurks underneath all those clothes, and also, one factor about her race that is least known, ^^ is the furry ridge trail that goes down her back that i rarely get a chance to draw ^^ (i got my inspiration from a donkey... <<... >>... o.o but don't tell her that ).

The R that's branded to her back shoulder stands for a specific group of survivors that ended up in a camp but were soon quickly released... without any support on where to go but they became free roaming all the same. Reason for 'R' might become more specific, but the letter has followed Kavota and the story around. From Kavota's real first name ("Renayor") to the street slang of her race as Rats, and the techincal name for her race i used in middle school and i'm still debating to use, Rhenn Elves. ..Then the main antagonist is obsessed with the ancient Roman Empire, and the contents of the story certainly might be 'R' rated quality.. so... pointless information, but it's fun to connect the dots all the same. The brand mark may be redesigned. I rather like how the atmosphere came out in this piece, even though it's a bit obscure in some areas.

thats pretty sick looking, but its still brilliant! a cut above the rest ^^

Yammo Says:

I like the detail you paid to her back. It looks so sad.

kun9p0w Says:

Excellent watercoloring.

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

Awww, that IS tragic.

You did well in capturing the contour of her body without showing any more than what was needed for the purpose of the scene (or exaggerating the proportions, both of which I can't stand).

One thing, though...and it's fine as it is because we can't see who the other figures are...it's interesting to ask, considering that Vota's being treated this way because of her race: in the future world where your story takes place, is it just Germanic-descended people who pull this kind of garbage?

Just food for thought...

Radical JoJo Says:

Aww, spooky. That looks painful...big ol' knife...and this guy grabbing her hair. It's a little more striking because you can't see their faces. o.o

flicker Says:

Very nice. I like the background history, having understanding makes you examine the sketch more carefully.

Sana Says:

I love your water color paintings. This is really beautiful and poignt.
