Around once or twice a year, after learning new techniques in different programs, I like to revisit a picture and redraw and recolor it, to practice what I've learned. More often than not, it ends up being this picture of Gainsboro the Scarecrow that I redo. I have no idea why, but it is. I rather like how this came out... it was sort of a quick and sloppy color job, but what I was practicing here was inking and clipping masks in Photoshop, as well as learning several of the keys that perform tasks like changing the size of the brush, etc. I've actually spent more time on sprites than doing this, but I'm still fixing up the sprites right now. I really like how those are coming, but that's to be discussed later.

I really love your designs.

He's cool. I like the whole bendy pose, and the sharp look it has when you click on Full View. Usually I'd leave some constructive criticism but, there really isn't any room for improvement as far as my judgement can go. Other more professional artists'll have to criticise (if they can) :)

He looks awesome like that.

The colors used are perfect, but the transition between them is of a style that doesn't quite match the linework. I'm aware that you're probably aware of this, as the linework for this is ancient and the coloring is the new technique you were trying. You really took my suggestion of 'bold' colors and ran with it. I'm very happy.

Once again, your use of color amazes and astounds me. I really like the small transition colors, like the line of brown over top the line of darkish pink that divides the shadow from the highlight on his right ear.

Love the character's expression, the pose, and the color choice. The inking looks crisp and clear to me. I like :)
