Hiding from those empty words
Running from the face behind her
She turned her back on who she was
Escaped into the freedom waiting
Into the night

And oh the loneliness she found
Though she would ever try to hide it
Deny her self within him still
Through all the angry tears between them

She feels
She dreams

And who will see what she feels
If she never shows it?
Who will she run to
When everything falls down?
When will she find the faith
To let herself become
Someone special in someone else's eyes?

And he could see into her mind
Make sense of all the twisting whirlwinds
And though he tore her up inside
Somehow there was sheer delight
Between the pieces

And now she longs for something that she cannot obtain
A fleeting vision of perfection
And it would shatter at the slightest touch
Better keep it locked away inside

She feels
She dreams

And who will see what she feels
If she never shows it?
Who will she run to
When everything falls down?
When will she find the faith
To let herself become
Someone special in someone else's eyes?

Hiding from those empty words
Leaving whispers far behind her
She turned her back on who she was
Escaped into the freedom waiting
Into the night.

This is a newly recorded and mixed version of a much older song that was originally written at the beginning of 2004.

I decided to make a new version because the old one was quite poorly put together and I really wanted to include the track on my album (*AHEM* yes... wow it sounds so official when I write it down like that. it's really not. but hey. hee hee hee. *excitement*)

Oooooh and another exicting thing is that I now have a microphone stand, which I got for christmas! So it was a lot easier than usual to record the violin! I don't know how I managed without one before now, I really don't!

a very Happyful New Year everybody smiles~~~

Preview is -clearly- mine so do not remove this either!

Fox Amoore Says:

You're a talented singer, check your pitch at one or two points, (3:38) Well done on the harmony sections as well. All the best for 2007 and I hope your album will bring you every success.

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

I love this...as with all of your works, you have an excellent sense for the delivery of the lyrics--you seem to know exactly what tone and emphasis each word needs.

I love that chord change on "someone special." It's not so abrupt that it breaks up the flow of the song, but it makes a pleasant surprise.

Having a real violin gives a special warmth to this that you don't hear on a lot of pieces around here; that's one of the hardest instruments to do effectively with a synthesizer.

All around, very deserving of the front page...I hope it gets there!

TheUriga Says:

I feel relaxed now (;

Unknowngamer Says:

Another excellent song. I'm really looking forward to your album, because I don't think that my headphones really do these songs justice.

chesney Says:

My favorite part is without question 3:05 I love the voice there, and that gorgeous violin coming in.

Kyoumi Says:

Pretty good. :3 Though, it would be freaking awesome if you put up something with a faster tempo and more upbeat song. :3

glmathgrant Says:

Having downloaded the old MP3 years back, I can tell you two things: the old version was good, and the new version is much BETTER. Let no one ever accuse you of being a bad singer or a bad composer, because you are obviously talented at both. Um. . . yeah. That's all I can say. As usual. :)

Mauzay Says:

I'm new to Sheezyart and I have to say, this is the first thing here that I have faved. You have a very nice voice. Romantic and relaxing. But I would watch out for the sliding at 3:40 :) other then that. I enjoyed it.

Cyril Says:

This song is a aura of perfection.

LadyEdana Says:

Very beautiful and touching
