So, if you guys haven't finished Futago Hime, this picture will be a bit spoilery for you. I guess it's too late to stop you from pursuing your curiosity, so I will let you guys know ahead of time that Bright turns evil in the middle of the first season, partially due to his self-blame of Fine and Rein losing the Prominence, Shade's deception as Eclipse, and Boomo brainwashing him with the Black Prominence.
Yes, although it's not mentioned directly, Shade is partly the reason why he goes emo and then into a psychotic villian. I really wish the writers didn't have to make him such a lame villian though... come on, Bright is more brainy than polluting the waters of the (Water) Drop Kingdom just to get Queen Yarmul into a rampage. Really!!
I saw all my fanart and noticed that I've always drawn Shade in custom clothes, so while flipping through the character detail book, I decided to draw him in his princely robes, with Bright to match. Shade and Bright have two main costumes throughout the first season, so I will later draw a Normal Bright x Eclipse version.
I think this picture was mainly to practice drawing guys in profile view. I like drawing in profile view, so it was great practice.
You knew sooner or later I had to draw a slashy picture anyway.
