I don't think the background is crappy ;___; I think it all looks amazing and I commend you for working so hard on this and getting it done x__x; I remember in school I halfassed many things I did because of how much I hated the classes =__= I still LOVE the characters and seeing them in color helps me to remember them even more, and also I got interested and wanted to know more just by looking at it ^^ it's very eye catching and I LOVE the text you used O__O but most of all the line art and the characters personalities and how you fit that character back there differently ^^ it all works to me! I LOVE it ^^
