The view outside my window

The snow is beautiful. It no longer drifts lazily about, heading to its inevitable destination on the ground. Now the snow has settled, and it is calm and a cold as death itself. Trees and houses sit in thier place, while the snow rests upon them like powdered sugar. A gentle breeze caresses and soothes the rustling branches, and shuffles the delicate resting place of the snow. Gray smoke floats ever so lightly out of chimmineys, and is carried into wind. The plain white sky is like a blanket drawn over the world. The dim sun hangs in the noon sky, barely sharing its brilliant light. A proud evergreen gaurds a home, but it struggle sunder the weight of the tiny snowflakes piling upon its branches. The streets are empty, the sidewalks are empty. It is a cold desert, as the snow blankets everything.
